About the Cornelius
Made through a collaboration between the renowned designer of the Corne keyboard, Foostan, and the iconic Japanese keyboard store Yushakobo, the Cornelius was shaped. It is a compact keyboard with 48 keys with a split layout, being separated by a 20° angle, and with a 6.5° positive tilt.
The keyboard is very pleasant to type on thanks to the PORON gasket mount and sound dampening foam. The case itself is milled from aluminium, and has black anodized, gray anodized or E-white surface finish. For the plates, you can choose between aluminium in a black, purple, burgundy red or blue anodized finish, or a polycarbonate milled plate. And, last but not least, all cases come with an E-black brass weight, to give it a hefty, luxurious feel.
The PCB comes with USB-C, Kailh hotswap sockets for MX switches, and is configurable through QMK and VIA.
It is possible to purchase extra plates and PCBs if you'd like. You do not need to enter or win the raffle to purchase these extra parts.
The case and PCB are compatible with MX-compatible switches only.
Some of the pictures shown on this page are renders. While we do our very best to make the final products match these renders, it is possible that there are slight differences.
This kit does not include switches and keycaps.
There are two typing test videos available, which give an impression of how the board will sound and feel. Watch below:
