The Halcyon Cirque Touchpad Module provides your Halcyon keyboard with a touchpad which acts as a pointing device. Use it to move the mouse around, tap to click or double-click, and move your finger around its edge in circles to scroll.

Features

This module offers the following features:

• An original Cirque GlidePoint® trackpad with a diameter of 35mm provides a high-quality surface with high precision touch tracking.
• A custom-designed 3D-printed mount securely fixes the trackpad to your keyboard using a twisting ring, which doesn't require glue or friction-fit to work. This means you can reuse the trackpad easily, as disassembly won't damage any components.
• Compatible with the VIK standard by Sadek Baroudi, making it compatible with all Halcyon Series keyboards as well as other keyboards supporting the VIK standard.

Package contents

This module comes with its own mounting hardware and cable. Included in the package are:

• One Cirque GlidePoint® trackpad, 35mm diameter with a curved overlay, communicates in SPI mode (product number TM035035-2024-003).
  
• One custom MJF 3D-printed mount consisting of a base and a ring, which locks the trackpad in place.
• Two flexible flat cables with a length of 80mm, with 12 pins in a 0.5mm pitch, with the connectors on the same side (A-type). One cable is needed, the second one is included as a spare.
• Three brass spacers with a length of 6mm. Two are needed to mount the module to the keyboard, a third is provided as a spare part.
• Five flat-head M2 screws with a length of 4mm. Four are needed to mount the module to the keyboard, the fifth is provided as a spare part.

Some of the mounting hardware needed is provided as part of the Halcyon keyboard kit.

Using the module

You can use up to one module per half of your Halcyon keyboard. You can use up to one of this module at the same time, on both the left and right half of your keyboard. If you use two of this module, they will both perform the same actions.

The working of this module cannot be customised using Vial firmware. Various aspects of it can be customised using custom QMK firmware, using its Pointing Device feature.

This module can be used with any other Halcyon module.
