The Iris keyboard by keeb.io, a split ergonomic keyboard with 4x6 vertically staggered keys and up to 4 thumb keys. Reprogrammable to any keymap layout you'd like with QMK/VIA!
What's the Iris keyboard?
The Iris is a split keyboard, designed by Lewis Ridden. It has up to 56 keys (or 54 if you're using 2u thumb keys), and comes preassembled - you'll just need a screwdriver for the case, along with case parts, switches, keycaps and a USB C to C cable. Next to that, it has up to two encoder positions you can use if you solder those on, which does require assembly.
What's new in Rev. 7?
The differences between this Rev. 7 PCB and the Rev. 6 PCB are the following:
- 2u thumb support has been re-added in Rev. 7
- Additional encoder option has been added to outer top corners
- I2C breakout pads added to each half

Per-key RGB LEDs
- Option for rotary encoders at upper thumb key and outer top corners on each half
- Pre-flashed with QMK Firmware and VIA configurator support
- With VIA configurator, you can reprogram the board without needing to know how to setup QMK and/or QMK Toolbox

- 1 × Left half PCB;
- 1 × Right half PCB.
What's required?
- Iris PCBs (this item);
- Set of Iris Case Parts;
- USB-C to USB-C Cable to connect both halves together;
- Iris middle layer (optional);
- 54-56 Switches (MX only);
- MX Keycaps (not included);
- 56 × 1u keycap, or;
- 54 × 1u keycap and 2 × 2u keycap, when using 2u keycaps for the thumb keys.
- USB-C Cable to connect to computer;
- Rotary Encoder and knobs (optional);
- SKUF Keyboard Feet (optional);
- 3D-printed case to supplement plates (optional).

Layout
Each half of the board is a 4x6 matrix with the same vertical stagger as the Ergodox and with 2-4 thumb keys. Alternatively, a rotary encoder can be placed at the upper thumb key of each half.
